WoW Forever Arms Warrior Talents

WoW Forever · Melee DPS · 39/12/0 ·

The Arms Warrior builds we recommend in WoW Forever, for raiding at 60 and for leveling from 10, drawn on Forever's own talent trees. Forever's Arms tree is not Classic's: 4 of its 17 talents are new.

Theorycraft until launch. The trees and tooltips come from the WoW Forever beta client (build 1.60.1.70338). The beta stops at level 30, so no one has played these builds at 60 yet. We will update them after launch on 4 November.

How the 39/12/0 build works

A 39-point Arms build for two-handed raid damage, ending in Mortal Strike. It takes all four talents Forever adds to Arms: Improved Tactical Mastery, Spearing Strike, Bloodthrill and Weaponmaster, whose bonus depends on the weapon type you swing.

The last 12 points buy Booming Voice and Cruelty in Fury, with two left in Unbridled Wrath for rage. Improved Slam is maxed: in Forever it shortens Slam's cast and stops it delaying your swing.

Arms Warrior leveling build

One talent point a level from 10 to 60, in this order, ending at 31/20/0 without a respec. Pick the Leveling tab above and drag the level slider to watch the trees fill in.

Levels 10–20

Improved Heroic Strike makes your Rage dump cheaper and Improved Rend sets up Deep Wounds. Improved Tactical Mastery keeps up to 15 more Rage when you change stances, so switching mid-fight costs little.

Levels 21–30

Deep Wounds makes your crits bleed, Anger Management generates Rage on its own, and Impale raises crit damage. Two-Handed Weapon Specialization adds 3% damage, and Sweeping Strikes at 30 makes your next 5 attacks hit a second enemy.

Levels 31–40

Weaponmaster rewards whatever two-hander you have: crit with an axe or polearm, armor penetration with a mace or staff, extra attacks with a sword. Improved Overpower and Improved Charge fill the gap, and Mortal Strike at 40 becomes your main attack.

Levels 41–60

Into Fury: Cruelty for 5% crit, Unbridled Wrath for Rage, Blood Craze to heal after big hits, Piercing Howl for runners, and Enrage for 10% more damage after you are hit.

Our recommended Arms Warrior build is 39/12/0: Two-handed Arms down to Mortal Strike, Cruelty from Fury. It is one of the Forever sim's preset builds. Nobody has played a level 60 yet, so treat it as a starting point until launch on 4 November.

Are WoW Forever's Arms talents the same as Classic's?

No. Forever's Arms tree has 17 talents, and 4 of them do not exist in Classic: Improved Tactical Mastery, Spearing Strike, Bloodthrill and Weaponmaster. Another 9 have different ranks, positions or numbers. The tree is still seven rows deep, and each row still needs five points spent above it.

What is the Arms 31-point talent in WoW Forever?

Mortal Strike. A vicious strike that deals weapon damage plus 85 and wounds the target, reducing the effectiveness of any healing by 50% for 10 sec.

What is the best Arms Warrior leveling build in WoW Forever?

Ours takes one point a level from 10 to 60 with no respec and ends at 31/20/0. It picks up Anger Management at 24, Sweeping Strikes at 30, Mortal Strike at 40 and Piercing Howl at 54. The full order is on this page.

How many talent points do you get in WoW Forever?

51 at level 60, one per level from level 10, as in Classic. The Legacy perk Talented starts them at level 5 instead, which matters for alts while levelling.

Where does this talent data come from?

From the WoW Forever beta client's own talent tables (build 1.60.1.70338), not from Classic. Every tooltip on this page is rendered from the client's spell data, and we checked them against the numbers the beta's own tooltips show. The trees can still change before launch.
