How the 36/0/15 build works
Affliction with Shadow Mastery, Siphon Life, Nightfall and Forever's new Malediction, Malevolence, Pandemic and Soul Siphon all taken. It skips Wrack, Forever's new final talent.
Fifteen Destruction points buy Improved Shadow Bolt, Aftermath and Ruin.
Affliction Warlock leveling build
One talent point a level from 10 to 60, in this order, ending at 32/19/0 without a respec. Pick the Leveling tab above and drag the level slider to watch the trees fill in.
Levels 10–19
Improved Corruption makes Corruption instant and 10% stronger, Improved Drains adds 20% to Drain Life and Drain Soul, and Improved Life Tap gives 20% more mana per tap.
Levels 20–29
Fel Concentration makes drains hard to interrupt, Soul Harvest restores mana after Drain Soul kills, Nightfall gives you instant Shadow Bolts, and Malediction adds periodic damage.
Levels 30–40
Siphon Life heals you, Soul Siphon strengthens drains for each of your other effects on the target, Shadow Mastery adds 5% Shadow damage, and Wrack at 40.
Levels 41–60
Malediction finished, then Demonology: Demonic Embrace for Stamina, Fel Vitality and Demonic Energies for your pet, Improved Voidwalker, Master Summoner and Fel Domination for quick resummons, and Unholy Power.

Amplify Curse 1/1
Increases the effect of your next Curse of Weakness or Bane of Agony by 50%, or your next Curse of Exhaustion by 20%. Lasts 30 sec.
Pandemic 3/3New in Forever
Increases the critical strike damage bonus of your Corruption, Bane of Agony, Bane of Doom, Drain Soul, Drain Life, Siphon Life, and Wrack spells by 100%.
Malevolence 5/5New in Forever
Increases the critical effect chance of your Shadow spells by 5%.
Nightfall 2/2
Gives your Corruption, Drain Soul, Drain Life, and Wrack spells a 4% chance to cause you to enter a Shadow Trance after damaging the opponent. The Shadow Trance reduces the casting time of your next Shadow Bolt spell by 100%.
Siphon Life 1/1
Transfers 11 health from the target to the caster every 3 sec. Lasts 30 sec.
Soul Siphon 3/3New in Forever
Increases the damage done or health drained by your Drain Life, Drain Soul, and Wrack spells by 12% per each of your other Affliction effects active on the target, up to a maximum increase of 36%.
Shadow Mastery 5/5
Increases the damage dealt or life drained by your Shadow spells by 5%.
Destruction· 15 points
Improved Shadow Bolt 5/5
Your Shadow Bolt critical strikes increase Shadow damage taken by the target from your attacks by 20% for 12 sec.
Aftermath 5/5
Increases the initial damage of your Immolate spell by 50% and your Conflagrate spell has a 100% chance to Daze the target, reducing the target's movement speed by 50% for 5 sec.
Ruin 5/5
Increases the critical strike damage bonus of your Destruction spells by 100%.

Killing a non-trivial target afflicted by your Drain Soul increases your Mana regeneration by 100% for 10 sec and allows 100% of normal Mana regeneration to continue while casting.

Increases health drained or damage done by your Drain Life, Drain Soul, and Wrack spells by 20%.

Questions
What are the best Affliction Warlock talents in WoW Forever?
Our recommended Affliction Warlock build is 36/0/15: Damage over time, with Ruin from Destruction. It is one of the Forever sim's preset builds. Nobody has played a level 60 yet, so treat it as a starting point until launch on 4 November.
Are WoW Forever's Affliction talents the same as Classic's?
No. Forever's Affliction tree has 17 talents, and 8 of them do not exist in Classic: Malediction, Soul Harvest, Improved Drains, Improved Bane of Agony, Pandemic, Malevolence, Soul Siphon and Wrack. Another 8 have different ranks, positions or numbers. The tree is still seven rows deep, and each row still needs five points spent above it.
What is the Affliction 31-point talent in WoW Forever?
Wrack, which is new in Forever. Tears the target apart from within, inflicting 36 Shadow damage every 1 sec and increasing the damage they take from your other Shadow damage over time effects by 10% for 6 sec.
What is the best Affliction Warlock leveling build in WoW Forever?
Ours takes one point a level from 10 to 60 with no respec and ends at 32/19/0. It picks up Siphon Life at 30, Wrack at 40 and Fel Domination at 57. The full order is on this page.
How many talent points do you get in WoW Forever?
51 at level 60, one per level from level 10, as in Classic. The Legacy perk Talented starts them at level 5 instead, which matters for alts while levelling.
Where does this talent data come from?
From the WoW Forever beta client's own talent tables (build 1.60.1.70338), not from Classic. Every tooltip on this page is rendered from the client's spell data, and we checked them against the numbers the beta's own tooltips show. The trees can still change before launch.
