How a Survival Hunter gears
In Classic, Lightning Reflexes raised a Survival hunter's agility by up to 15%, so agility pieces scaled harder for this spec than for any other hunter. That made agility-stacked leather and mail sometimes worth more than heavier mail with mixed stats.
Survival was also the hunter spec for melee-range control and PvP, so its lists carry more stamina than the raid lists.
- Compare pieces by agility first, then hit.
- Do not overlook leather with high agility after level 40.

What is the Survival Hunter BiS list in WoW Forever?
There is no confirmed list yet. Raid loot is published with the raids on 9 December 2026, and the level 55–60 dungeon tables are not in the beta. This page carries the stat priority now and adds each phase's items as they are datamined.
What is the Survival Hunter stat priority?
Under Classic rules: Agility, then Hit (to the cap), then Ranged weapon damage, then Critical strike, then Attack power, stamina. Forever has not published its talents, so this is Classic's order until it does.
What is the Survival Hunter hit cap?
Ranged hit: about 9%. The same miss chance as melee specials. Ranged attacks carry no dual-wield penalty, so hit stops adding value at the cap.
Can I use a Classic Survival Hunter BiS list for WoW Forever?
Only as a guide to stats. Blizzard reworked the loot of every dungeon boss for Forever, raising unique boss items to blue and changing others, and two of the three raids are new. Classic item names may come back with different stats.
When will the Survival Hunter pre-raid BiS be known?
The dungeon half from mid-November 2026, once level 55–60 loot is datamined after the 4 November launch. Raid items from 9 December 2026.
What armour does a Hunter wear?
Mail from level 40, leather before. Weapons: Bows, guns and crossbows; axes, swords, polearms, staves, daggers and fist weapons for stats.
