Everything below 55 on the new dungeon list is content you pass through. Blackmaw Hold is content you stop at. It opens at 55, stays relevant at 60, and lands five weeks before the first raid wave on 9 December 2026 — which makes it part of the pre-raid best-in-slot conversation rather than part of the climb. That changes what people buy here. Below this level, listings are single clears; at 55–60 they are rerun packages priced against a gear target, and the sensible comparison between sellers is runs-per-price rather than price alone.
The launch-to-raid maths
WoW Forever launches on 4 November 2026 and raids open on 9 December — thirty-five days. A character that wants a seat in the first lockout has to get to 60 and gear inside that window, and the two 55+ dungeons are where most of the accessible gearing lives. That compression is why this instance is the most-booked new dungeon on the site in the run-up to launch, and why the reruns fill from the top of the window down. Booking early buys scheduling, not speed.
What is confirmed about it
The name and the 55–60 range, and that unique dungeon boss items in Forever are blue rather than purple. That last point matters more here than anywhere else on the list: a blue-ceiling dungeon at 55–60 is a pre-raid gearing stop, not a substitute for raiding, and a seller pitching it as anything more is overselling. The place itself is now known too: Blackmaw Hold is the furbolg city in Azshara, behind the gate Classic players could never open. The furbolgs inside are fighting a corruption, and the tunnels under the hold are said to run deep into the mountain towards The Barrow Deeps, the 10-player raid.
Buying it alongside the classic list
Blackmaw Hold does not displace the classic instances that share its level band — Lower Blackrock Spire, Scholomance and both sides of Stratholme all sit at 55–60 and all carry loot tables that Forever's blue ceiling leaves competitive. A pre-raid package that routes the new dungeon and two or three of those together is a more complete answer than a chain of reruns here, and most sellers will quote it that way if asked.
