WoW Forever Herbalism Leveling Guide 1–300

· recipe data from the WoW Forever beta client 1.60.1.70170

Herbalism levels by picking: each herb gives a guaranteed point until your skill is 25 past its requirement, an occasional one until 100 past, and nothing after. The route is a list of zones, moving on whenever the herbs you can reach turn green.

Work in progress until launch on 4 November. Built from the beta client's recipe data, so numbers can still change. How this guide is made

Herbalism route by skill

  1. 1–50, Peacebloom, Silverleaf and Earthroot (from 15): any starting zone. The Barrens and Durotar have the most for the Horde; Elwynn Forest, Dun Morogh and Teldrassil for the Alliance. Train Journeyman at 50.
  2. 50–100, Mageroyal (50), Briarthorn (70) and Stranglekelp (85): the Barrens again for the Horde; Westfall, Darkshore and Ashenvale for the Alliance. Stranglekelp grows underwater along coasts and lakes.
  3. 100–150, Bruiseweed (100), Wild Steelbloom (115), Grave Moss (120) and Kingsblood (125): the Wetlands, Ashenvale, Stonetalon Mountains, Hillsbrad and the Arathi Highlands. Train Expert at 125.
  4. 150–210, Liferoot (150), Fadeleaf (160), Goldthorn (170), Khadgar's Whisker (185), Wintersbite (195) and Firebloom (205): Stranglethorn Vale and the Arathi Highlands carry most of this; Wintersbite only grows in the Alterac Mountains. Train Artisan at 200.
  5. 210–250, Purple Lotus (210), Arthas' Tears (220), Sungrass (230), Blindweed (235) and Ghost Mushroom (245): Azshara and the Hinterlands for Lotus and Sungrass, the Western Plaguelands for Arthas' Tears, the Swamp of Sorrows for Blindweed.
  6. 250–300, Gromsblood (250), Golden Sansam (260), Dreamfoil (270), Mountain Silversage (280), Plaguebloom (285) and Icecap (290): Azshara and Un'Goro Crater, then the Eastern Plaguelands for Plaguebloom and Winterspring for Silversage and Icecap.

Black Lotus needs 300 and is rare by design: a handful of spawn points in the Burning Steppes, Winterspring, the Eastern Plaguelands and Silithus. It is the one herb every flask needs, so it will be the most contested node in the game from December.

About this guide

The skill each herb needs is read from Forever's client and matches Classic, from Peacebloom at 1 to Black Lotus at 300. The zone rankings come from Classic's spawn data. Herbalism pairs with Alchemy, which uses every herb on this page, and it sells on its own from day one: alchemists buy herbs by the stack all the way to 300.

WoW Forever launches on 4 November 2026, so this guide is a work in progress. Skill colours, reagents and craft counts come from the beta client, so they are what Forever ships today but can still change, and the beta stops short of Artisan, so the top of the route is computed rather than played. Craft counts include the extra crafts a recipe needs once it turns yellow. Trainer locations and learn levels are Classic's, adjusted where Forever moved a recipe. We rebuild the guide whenever the client changes.

Every herb by skill, and where to find it

A node gives a guaranteed point until your skill is 25 past its requirement, an occasional one up to 100 past, then nothing. The numbers after each zone are its spawn points in Classic's data.

Herbalism camp objects

Camping is new in Forever: a campfire built by a cook, with room for objects each profession makes. Anyone resting at the camp gets their effects.

  • Incense Candle from skill 20

    25 Intellect

  • Greenhouse from skill 140

Grows herbs over time from planted seeds

  • Seed Hybridizer from skill 300

Multiplies seeds or combines them into rarer tiers

Forever's new herbs and the camp

Forever's recipes use herbs Classic never had: Frilled Lichen and Rosecap for the new alchemy dyes, Stranglevine for Viridian Dye, and Demonsage, Marefoil and Death Lotus for the four new flasks. Where they grow and what skill they need is not in the data yet.

Herbalists build an Incense Candle at camp from skill 20, which gives everyone resting there Intellect, 25 at level 60. At 140 they can plant a Greenhouse, which grows herbs from seeds over time, and at 300 a Seed Hybridizer, which multiplies seeds or combines them into rarer ones.
