The dungeon people do not finish
Gnomeregan's reputation is earned. It is large, it is vertical, the layout loops back on itself, and the route to Mekgineer Thermaplugg at the bottom is long enough that pug groups routinely fall apart before reaching him. The instance is not difficult — it is attritional. That combination is the single best argument for buying a run of it, because what you are paying for is the group not dissolving at the halfway point, which is a service a marketplace can actually guarantee and a random group cannot.
Engineering, and the reason to care
Gnomeregan is the thematic home of gnomish engineering and a reasonable source of parts and recipes for a character levelling the profession. If engineering is your goal, the useful order here may be a rerun chain rather than a clear — and it pairs naturally with the profession page, where the gnomish-versus-goblin specialisation decision has to be made before a seller reaches the split.
What to agree before booking
Whether you are buying the full run to Thermaplugg or a partial one. Gnomeregan is one of the few classic instances where partial runs are genuinely sold — the upper sections are quicker and some quest objectives sit well short of the end.
