A dungeon with no ceiling
Razorfen Kraul is built as an open spiral of razor-thorn walls winding downward to Charlga Razorflank, which makes it one of the very few instances in Classic that does not feel like a building. Practically, that means line of sight behaves differently, pulls are wider than they look, and a group that charges into the middle of the spiral gets more than it asked for. It is the main thing an experienced seller's group handles differently from a pug.
Where it sits in a route
At 29–38 it shares a band with Gnomeregan, and the two are the standard pair for that stretch on their respective sides of the map. Razorfen Kraul is considerably shorter, which makes it the better value of the two per run and the one more often bought as part of a leveling bracket rather than on its own. The 30–40 leveling page is usually the cheaper route if you want the levels as well as the clear.
Quilboar quests and the second Razorfen
The instance anchors a set of quilboar quest chains that continue into Razorfen Downs a few levels later, so sellers often quote the two together. If you intend to do both, ask for the pair — the travel and the chain overlap, and buying them separately pays for the same trip twice. Payment sits in escrow across either arrangement until you confirm.
What a clear is actually worth
The loot here is modest — a handful of pieces that hold up through the thirties and nothing anyone farms deliberately. That makes the clear a levelling and questing purchase rather than a gearing one, and it is worth being clear about that before comparing it to Gnomeregan on price. If gear is what you want in this band, the 30–40 bracket or a Scarlet Monastery wing is the better use of the same money.
