The one people skip
Blackfathom Deeps is the least-run instance of its level band, and the reasons are structural rather than mechanical: it is awkward to reach, partly underwater, and easy to get turned around in. Those are exactly the qualities that make a booked run worth more than the dungeon's reputation suggests. A group that knows the route through the flooded sections turns a frustrating hour into twenty minutes, and there is very little else a seller can do for you here.
What it drops, and who wants it
The instance has a small set of caster and healer pieces that are genuinely good for the late twenties, and a cult-themed set of quest rewards that the Twilight's Hammer content chains into. It has never been a farming destination in the way the Deadmines or Scarlet Monastery are, so listings here are almost entirely single clears rather than rerun chains — if you see a chain priced, check what it is actually chasing.
Access and the swim
Reaching the entrance involves a stretch of swimming in Ashenvale, which is slow and, on the PvP ruleset, exposed. With no flying anywhere in WoW Forever, there is no shortcut version of that approach, and a quoted delivery time that seems short for this instance may be excluding the travel. Ask whether the quote is door-to-door. As always, escrow releases on your confirmation rather than on the seller's.
Where it fits against the new content
At 24–32 the instance shares a band with Excavation Site: Wetlands, the new 24–29 WoW Forever dungeon. Given that Blackfathom's main drawback is the awkward approach and the new instance does not share it, a buyer choosing between the two on convenience alone will usually prefer the newer one. Blackfathom is worth the trip for its specific caster and healer pieces, and mostly for those.
