How buying works

  1. Step 1

    Choose an offer

Compare verified sellers on price, rate and delivery window. Every seller here was approved by staff before they could list.

  2. Step 2

    Pay into escrow

Card, handled by Stripe. The money is held by us — the seller can see the order is funded and nothing more.

  3. Step 3

    Get it, then release

Talk to the seller in your order thread. Nothing reaches them until you confirm the work is done.

The layout is the difficulty

Wailing Caverns is not a hard dungeon; it is a confusing one. The instance is a knot of overlapping tunnels around a central chamber, with several druids of the fang scattered through it who must all be killed before the final event, and no obvious route between them. Groups without a guide routinely spend longer navigating than fighting. That is precisely what a seller's group is worth here — not damage, but knowing where the fourth druid is.

Deviate fish and the long tail

The caverns are also the only source of deviate fish, whose cooked forms produce the transformation effects that have kept a small, permanent market alive since 2004. WoW Forever ships an optional transmog system and the same instance, so that novelty market has a reasonable chance of surviving into the new game. If you want fish rather than a clear, ask for a farming run instead — it is a different job with a different price, and sellers will quote either.

What to agree before ordering

Whether you are buying a clear, the associated quest chain, or a fish farm — all three are sold here and they are not interchangeable. The quest chain in particular ends in a group event that a solo boost handles differently from a group run. Payment stays in escrow until you confirm, and on a maze-shaped dungeon the thing worth writing down is what counts as complete.

Where it sits in the Barrens route

At 15–25 the caverns overlap the 12–20 and 20–30 leveling brackets on this site, and a seller running either will usually pass the entrance anyway. That makes the standalone clear a slightly awkward purchase for anyone who also wants the levels: the bracket absorbs the run for very little, while the run bought alone pays for a trip into the Barrens that buys you nothing else. Compare the two before booking.

Frequently asked questions

Why is Wailing Caverns so confusing?

The layout is a knot of overlapping tunnels with several druids of the fang scattered through it, all of which must die before the final event. The difficulty is navigation rather than combat.

Can I buy a deviate fish farm?

Yes, and it is a different order from a clear. Deviate fish are unique to the caverns and their cooked transformation effects have supported a small permanent market for twenty years.

Does the boost include the quest chain?

Only if you ask. The chain ends in a group event that is handled differently from a straight clear, so specify which you want in the order thread.

What level is Wailing Caverns?

15–25 in Classic. Whether WoW Forever retunes classic dungeon level ranges has not been confirmed by Blizzard.
