How buying works
- Step 1
Choose an offer
Compare verified sellers on price, rate and delivery window. Every seller here was approved by staff before they could list.
- Step 2
Pay into escrow
Card, handled by Stripe. The money is held by us — the seller can see the order is funded and nothing more.
- Step 3
Get it, then release
Talk to the seller in your order thread. Nothing reaches them until you confirm the work is done.
Chance is the product, which is the problem
Every other order on the site delivers something the seller controls. A rare item hunt delivers something a random number generator controls, and that gap is where almost every farming dispute in this market comes from. The fix is not to avoid the service — it is to agree in advance which risk you are buying. A hunt priced per run puts the variance on you and is cheap. A hunt priced per target puts the variance on the seller and costs more. Both are legitimate; a listing that is vague about which it is, is not.
What the Forever loot structure changes
Unique dungeon boss items in WoW Forever are blue rather than purple, which flattens the top of the dungeon loot curve and shifts rare-hunt demand toward blueprint recipes — the camping recipes that drop from dungeon bosses. Their existence is confirmed; their drop tables are not published for any of the nine new dungeons. That means the honest way to sell a blueprint hunt right now is by the run, and anyone quoting a guaranteed named blueprint before the tables are known is selling something they cannot underwrite.
Writing a scope that survives a dispute
Name the exact item. Name the source if you know it. State whether you are buying runs or a result, and how many. State what happens if the item drops on the first run — some sellers refund the remainder, some do not, and it is far better to know beforehand. Escrow releases when you confirm the item is in your bags, so the definition of done is naturally clean here; what fails is the definition of how much work you paid for, and that is entirely fixable in the order thread.

Frequently asked questions
Should I buy a rare item hunt by run or by target?
By run is cheaper and puts the variance on you. By target costs more and puts it on the seller. Both are fair — what is not fair is a listing that does not say which it is.
Can a seller guarantee a blueprint recipe?
Not honestly, not yet. Blueprint recipes drop from dungeon bosses but Blizzard has not published the drop tables for any of the nine new dungeons, so per-run pricing is the honest structure.
Are unique dungeon items purple in WoW Forever?
No — unique dungeon boss items are blue. That flattens the top of the dungeon loot curve and shifts most rare-hunt demand toward blueprint recipes instead.
What if the item drops immediately?
Ask before you pay. Some sellers refund the unused runs and some treat the order as complete. Either is defensible; discovering which after the fact is not.
How does escrow handle a chance-based order?
It releases when you confirm the item is in your bags, which is a clean definition of done. The part worth agreeing in writing is how much work you bought, not what delivery means.
