Why the shortcut exists
Maraudon's best drops are concentrated at the end, and the full clear is the longest instance of the forties. That combination produced the Princess run: a route that skips most of the cavern system and delivers the group to Theradras directly. It is one of the clearest examples in Classic of player knowledge turning into a purchasable product — the route is not obvious, it is not documented in game, and knowing it is most of what the seller provides.
The best per-run economics in the forties
Because the run is short and the loot is the instance's best, this is the strongest farming proposition in its level band, and rerun chains are the normal order rather than the exception. Compare on runs-per-price rather than on price, and agree who takes drops other than your target. That last point is the most common friction on a chain order anywhere on this site and it takes one line in the order thread to remove.
What it does not include
Everything else in Maraudon. If you have quest objectives in the orange or purple halves, a Princess run will not touch them, and a seller quoting the short route is not being evasive — they are quoting exactly what was asked for. Buy the full clear or the relevant wing if you need the rest, and be aware that the price gap between them is large enough to be worth getting right first time.
Why sellers quote this differently
You will see the Princess run priced two ways: per run, and as a block of an evening. The block is usually better value if you want several, because the route is short enough that the overhead of starting and stopping is a real fraction of it. Ask for both numbers — most sellers will quote either, and the difference between them on this particular route is larger than it looks.
