Stratholme: Undead side
A Baron run is the timed route through Stratholme's undead side to Baron Rivendare — the most farmed piece of content in Warcraft's history, and the most-requested classic service on this site.

The undead side's defining feature is a timed event: reach the Baron inside the limit and a set of additional rewards opens up. That turns an ordinary dungeon clear into a route-execution problem where every wasted minute costs something real, and it is the single clearest case in the classic list of player knowledge being worth money. A group that has done it makes the time; a group that has not, usually does not, and the difference is not recoverable within the run.
Deathcharger's Reins, Rivendare's mount, is one of the lowest-probability drops in Warcraft, and two decades of players have run this route over and over chasing it. In a game with no flying at all — which WoW Forever is — a rare ground mount is visible in a way it has not been for years, which is a reasonable bet on that demand transferring straight into the new game. Nobody can tell you the drop rate in Forever, because Blizzard has not published one.
Decide whether you are buying runs or the mount. Per-run is cheaper and the variance is yours; per-mount costs considerably more and the variance is the seller's, which on a drop this rare is a genuinely large commitment for them. Both are legitimate. Agree the run count, agree who takes the other drops, and agree whether the timed bonus is part of the promise — a run that reaches the Baron late is not the same product. Escrow releases on your confirmation either way.
Game facts on this page checked against Blizzard's published details as of 30 September 2026.
The timed route through the undead side to Baron Rivendare. Reaching him inside the limit opens additional rewards, which turns the clear into a route-execution problem.
Some sellers price per mount rather than per run, which puts the variance on them — on a drop this rare that is a large commitment, and it is priced accordingly. Per-run is the cheaper structure.
Unpublished. Blizzard has released no drop tables for Forever, so any specific rate quoted to you is Classic's number or a guess.
Agree it explicitly. A run that reaches the Baron outside the time limit is a different product from one that makes it, and the wording in listings is often loose.
