How buying works

  1. Step 1

    Choose an offer

Compare verified sellers on price, rate and delivery window. Every seller here was approved by staff before they could list.

  2. Step 2

    Pay into escrow

Card, handled by Stripe. The money is held by us — the seller can see the order is funded and nothing more.

  3. Step 3

    Get it, then release

Talk to the seller in your order thread. Nothing reaches them until you confirm the work is done.

The one raid nobody has to learn

Onyxia's Lair is the exception in this wave. The Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit are new, with eight and thirteen encounters nobody has fought; Onyxia is one boss who has been killed by more players than almost any other in Warcraft. The lair sits under Dustwallow Marsh, the fight has three phases, the second one fills the cave with whelps and the deep breath that ends careless raids is a twenty-year-old in-joke. That familiarity is worth money to you as a buyer: sellers do not need to learn this one, so the carries start competent instead of getting there, and the pricing reflects a known quantity rather than a risk premium.

What returning does and does not mean

Blizzard has confirmed that Onyxia's Lair returns as a 40-player raid in the first wave. It has not published Forever's boss mechanics, loot tables, lockout timers or whether an attunement chain like Classic's Drakefire Amulet quest line gates entry. Those are exactly the details that a 'returning' raid is most likely to have quietly changed, and they are on the unconfirmed list for a reason. If a seller's listing promises you an attunement run as part of the package, ask what they are basing that on — the honest answer right now is beta observation, and an honest seller will say so.

Forty players is a scheduling problem, not a difficulty problem

The reason a forty-player carry costs what it does is not that Onyxia is hard. It is that thirty-nine other people have to show up, on a date, twice if the first attempt fails. Sellers who run these reliably are running a rota, and the ones who do not will slip. Two practical checks before you pay: ask which lockout you are booked into by date rather than by week, and ask what happens if the run is rescheduled. Both answers belong in the order thread, where they become the scope your payment is released against.

Frequently asked questions

Is Onyxia's Lair in WoW Forever?

Yes — it returns as a 40-player raid in the first wave, unlocking 9 December 2026 alongside The Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit.

Is the Onyxia fight the same as in Classic?

Unconfirmed. The raid returns, but Blizzard has not published boss mechanics, loot tables or lockout rules for Forever. The three-phase fight players know is Classic's version, and 'returning' does not guarantee 'identical'.

Do I need an attunement quest first?

Not announced. Classic gated Onyxia behind a long attunement chain ending in the Drakefire Amulet; whether Forever keeps it is unknown. If a listing includes attunement, ask what they are basing it on.

Why is a 40-player carry more expensive?

Because thirty-nine other people have to turn up on a specific date. The cost is roster and scheduling, not difficulty — Onyxia is the best-understood boss in this wave by a wide margin.

What happens if the raid gets rescheduled?

Ask before you pay and get the answer in the order thread. Your payment stays in escrow until you confirm the run happened, so a delay costs you time rather than money, but the reschedule policy is worth knowing in advance.
